Fed up with “Humanity”
Overwhelmed with sorrow
Like there’s no hope for tomorrow
People acting worse than heartless machines
Executing convoluted warped-up schemes
A suicide here, a bombing there
Oppression & injustice everywhere
Conspiracies abound, theories prevail
The truth forever silenced, mysteries remain
Our imaginations roam free
That is our one release
For thoughts are monitored
And speech suppressed
What’s left, remains
Just fancy dress
There is no depth
No tangible emotion
Fake living that stifles
Despite all the provocation
What will it take to speak out?
How many more must die before we act?
When will we refuse to be judged?
What will it take to have no regrets?
Cowardice and seeking a status quo
Will not liberate us or help us grow
“A life well lived, a legacy for generations”
We pay lip-service, which defeats our nations
Enough of this trauma and fear
Enough of this killing and greed
Life is but short, made shorter still
By the madness of others, who choose to kill
To have any hope for a better tomorrow
We must put an end to this heartbreaking sorrow
Speak out and act now, tomorrow is too late
The alternative is a future, filled with hate
Life is much simpler than turf wars and collusion
So rise above all this smoke-screening confusion
We are not defined by religion & nationalities
Let’s aspire to being human beings first and stop these fatalities
Not in my name or yours I beseech you
But above all else, never in humanity’s name
Our one common bond, our sole uniting factor,
Should be what holds us together
And leaves us only stronger
Like there’s no hope for tomorrow
People acting worse than heartless machines
Executing convoluted warped-up schemes
A suicide here, a bombing there
Oppression & injustice everywhere
Conspiracies abound, theories prevail

Fed up with “Humanity”
The Middle East has and clearly always will be in a state of incessant turmoil. Oppressed Palestinians, "ISIS" infiltration & savagery, Syrian Refugees, Suicide Bombings, Unexplained events & Conspiracy Theories abound; the pot is boiling over and we remain as ever, perplexed and inconsolably impotent. To say these are sad times is to understate what we are living through. I have never seen such a constant state of flux that only gets worse. What hope I ever had for humanity is swiftly dissipating.
